Secretary (Conveyancing), Hull, Salary C £16,000 - £18,000 Depending on experience.

Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a successful firm of Solicitors based in Hull who are looking to appoint an Administrator / Secretary who has experience of commercial conveyancing.

Reporting to Fee Earners you will be responsible for the following;

Providing support to enable Fee Earners to do their work effectively and efficiently
Maintaining confidentiality in relation to all clients and their affairs and the firm's business
Word processing letters and legal documents and preparing e-mails as requested; this will involve mostly audio typing, copy typing, processing hand amended documents, Land Registry forms, Land Registry portal applications/downloads, Companies House information etc;
Receiving and screening incoming telephone calls
Checking fee earner diaries on a regular basis and booking meeting rooms for appointments
Filing correspondence and documents on files
Opening client/matter files as well as closing files at the end of a matter and passing them through to be archived
Retrieving documents and files from archive
Witnessing signatures to legal documents
Inputting client and other third party data into the firm's computerised record system accurately Completing any paperwork necessary to receive monies in from clients/third parties
If requested to do so, entering details in the firm's computerised accounts system of cheques, cash and other payments received

Experience

We are looking for someone with excellent Secretarial skills including audio typing
High degree of accuracy and professionalism
Legal experience is not necessarily required although is desirable
