Quality Manager, Sheffield area. Salary is up to circa £35,000 plus pension.
Arlington Moore Recruitment Agency is working on behalf of our prestigious packaging client who is looking to appoint a Quality Manager. This business has a long standing relationship with its blue chip customer base and is growing rapidly. This is an exciting business with significant growth plans for the future and has been strengthening the senior team over recent years in order to provide a strong foundation to build further.
The Quality Manager will be responsible for adhering to and promoting best practice in accordance with company health and safety requirements whilst successfully managing and exceeding customers’ expectations on matters relating to food safety and quality by:
Effective management and motivation of the site quality team to achieve commercial, site and Quality objectives within the agreed timelines
Measuring site standards both across all operations in line with business, customer and legislative requirements
Developing, implementing and managing quality management and operating procedures including all hygiene operations, allergen management and pest control.
Ensuring appropriate cover is in place to support the site through shifts & weekend working when demands arise.
Reviewing, auditing and challenging factory operations with regards to product safety and quality to ensure that manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards in line with the overarching Group Quality Management System
Route cause analysis to eliminate future risk
Conducting internal and external audits
Training and development of new starters within own department and provide on-going training in line with BRC standard to existing employees
Successful candidates will have previous experience within a similar role and will come from a packaging or food manufacturing background. BRC experience is essential for this role.
