Product / Marketing Specialist (engineering / manufacturing), Hull, salary C £45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Pension + Private Medical Care.
Arlington Moore are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious manufacturing / engineering company based in the heart of East Yorkshire. This role will be reporting into the Technical Department but will have close ties with Marketing and Sales due to the diversity of a position.
This role is diverse and fast moving and we are looking for candidates educated to a high standard with strong business acumen and an ability to understand technical engineering processes.
The primary elements of this role is to develop and maintain the future product strategy of new products for the business as well as identifying product opportunities and present justifications in the form of fully documented project Business Cases. The role will also be responsible for rolling out future development plans.
Aims of the role;
To develop detailed project business cases
Market assessment; including product objectives and benefits, competitor analysis and benchmarking
Financial justification; including anticipated volumes, development costs, capital expenditure etc.
Marketing strategy and opportunities
Identifying projects and product assumptions and risks
Liaising with internal departments, external customers and suppliers to build a strong understanding of the products, customers and markets and sectors and to develop new ideas
Conducting product benchmarking & positioning of UK and overseas competitors products
Identifying market and consumer trends in products and components
Knowledge and Experience:
Previous experience working within project management and/or the business/marketing sector
Commercially astute with first-hand experience and knowledge of writing detailed Business plans
Experience within a technical / engineering or manufacturing environment a distinct advantage
