Quality Manager required for a successful manufacturing company based in Hull. Salary is competitive and up to circa £40,000 plus benefits. Hours of work are Monday – Friday 0730 – 1630.
Arlington Moore Recruitment Agency is working on behalf of our prestigious manufacturing client who is looking to appoint a Quality Manager.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager is responsible for the efficient management of the Quality Assurance function with regard to the safe, legal production for chilled and frozen products to the quality standards specified by customers.
The main duties include:
Attend daily production meetings with in order to raise awareness on all matters relating to food safety, legality and product quality
Be familiar with all relevant company policies, procedures, technical specifications, and HACCP pertaining to the site and its products
Be a member of the site HACCP Team
To assist in the Technical related training of staff where this may impact on product safety, legality and quality
Responsible for all aspects of departmental health & safety and for ensuring that departmental staff are aware of all hazards and responsibilities associated with their duties
QAS monitoring of product quality against agreed standards
To maintain a program of product taste panels at a specified frequency in accordance with customer requirements
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of product sampling plans
Assist the Technical Manager and Asst Technical Manager in dealing with all customer complaints investigations and to have an awareness of the complaint trends & key issues
Experience and Qualifications:
Food safety Level 4
HACCP Level 3
FMCG food industry (short shelf life)
Managing and developing a team
Communicating and influencing
Problem solving and decision making
Drive to achieve
