Engineering Project Manager
Engineering Project Manager, North Lincolnshire, Salary up to £55,000 + Excellent benefits + excellent pension.
Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a hugely successful engineering company who can boast historic global success in terms of product design and innovation. This company are at the forefront of what they do and they are looking for a Project Manager to be part of keeping the future in motion and remaining the leaders in their field.
The main function of the role is to manage projects taking ownership for the design element of the range to help meet company targets for growth and profitability, together with provision of general technical support for day to day manufacturing and commercial activities.
Use structured planning methodology to create a detailed project plan (MS Project 2007 desirable) maintaining agreed timescales, costs & resources
Identifying and managing risks
Provide regular progress reports to management team
Ensure all necessary documentation is complete, accurate & stored appropriately
Managing all contractual requirements of the project
Seeking out new processes and materials to improve the quality and reliability of products
Supporting design services for continual improvement of existing products and innovative development of new products and related equipment
Arranging & managing prototype test programmes and assist in expedition of customer enquiries & orders
Preparing technical proposals for sales quotation purposes
Engineering experience in Cryogenics; specifically LNG technology desirable
Background in of solid mechanics. Ideally, applied to designing heterogeneous / composite components
Knowledge of stainless steel, polymeric materials & related manufacturing processes ideal
FEA/ stress, heat transfer & fluid mechanics experience desirable
Proven track record in delivering complex product development projects with budgets in excess of £2m
Qualifications / Skills Required
Graduate in Engineering or Physics minimum
Ability to lead and communicate with those at operator levels through to major company representatives
Excellent organisational, planning & time management skills
Logical/ structured approach to problem solving
Attention to detail
Adaptable to different communication styles
Quick learner & gets the ‘big picture’
Ability to manage contractual details
Good technical report writing skills
