This role will encompass the following;
Providing customers, a senior point of contact for project operational matters
Develop and lead operational strategies
Provide a single point of contact to the Operations Director for all construction and manufacturing operations
To provide clear and coherent strategic advice and action plans
To encourage and implement a lean manufacturing and construction operation
Drive and maintain cultural change within the business, ensuring staff remain motivated
Developing the existing manufacturing site plans with the Production Manager so that these ensure a lean, safe and maintained working environment, with opportunities for further improvement
Developing departmental business cases for new investment
Proactively managing existing customers with a focus on complete customer satisfaction and obtaining repeat business
Understanding the commercial position of each project, and actively managing budgets to achieve commercial targets
Offering support to Pre-Construction and Technical teams to enable the generation of considered tender returns and lean designs
Attending sites when required to identify issues, meet suppliers and customers and resolve any concerns
Providing a safe and healthy working environment for all operational staff
Has demonstrable experience in successfully implementing change
Excellent project and customer management experience
experience in Construction Project and/or Manufacturing Management
You may work in an alternative advanced manufacturing industry i.e. automotive, nuclear, aviation but has a willingness to diversify and build on your experience
Is passionate about people and has demonstrable experience is people-based project management
Can programme and collaborate workflows on software packages like Microsoft Project
You may hold a degree or chartered membership to associated institutes, however those with tangible, non-degree related training should demonstrate how their experience surpasses formal accreditation
