Production Engineer

Production Engineer, Hull, up to £40,000pa.

 

Arlington Moore is working on behalf of an innovative engineering / manufacturing company based in Hull, steeped in history with a strong order book.  They are now looking to appoint a Production Engineer for their busy production facility based in Hull.

 

The role of Production Engineer will be to support the production facility with engineering projects to include product manufacturing techniques and process mapping, including production area set up of projects for both existing and new products to include designing Jigging & tooling, implementing lean processes, and supporting continuous improvement changes throughout the business.

 

Key responsibilities of the Production Engineer

Assisting with production engineering projects
Process design from initial concept through to project delivery of the product
Developing existing and new production methods and systems
Providing onsite support/advice to allow manufacture of the product to suit engineered design
Interpreting client requirements
Developing process flows and standard operating procedures

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities of the Production Engineer

A good knowledge of engineering manufacturing procedures
Engineering qualifications (mechanical)
Experience of designing production workflow and designing equipment to support
Experience of using 2D & 3-D CAD Design software
Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently or in a team environment.
