What are we looking for in our Regional Production Operations Manager?

 

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager or Senior Production Manager / Site Manager with experience in either food or at least FMCG or value-added service.

 

The role of Regional Production Operations Manager

 

Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the management of operations as well as facilitating project Implementation, site setups, operational improvement programmes and on occasion direct site support for cover.

 

Key Duties of a Regional Operations Manager:

Championing the implementation of projects at specific sites
Creating a sustainable method of communication that links at all levels within the region and wider group
Liaising with all group functions to support and resolve operational day to day issues and planning to prevent re-occurrence and deliver a sustainable operation
Promoting best practice in accordance with company health, safety and quality regulations
Providing a service based on reliability, quality and repeatability, which is both measurable and auditable
Supporting the management team in development of standardised systems across the region
Supporting the region in the delivery of highly focused and efficient operations at each site
Challenging the ways of working and delivering through innovation cost savings
Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste
Reviewing staffing levels by site, and building robust succession plans to maintain the service
Monitoring and managing performance against KPI's
Developing staff by training, mentoring and personal development plans
