Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager, Coalville, Salary C £45,000, Mon – Fri days

 

Arlington Moore Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly respected manufacturing business who continues to expand and flourish.  Our client has grown from strength to strength organically and by strategic acquisition, and as a result, the company is able to provide real opportunity for future career advancement.  As part of their growth plan, they are now looking for a Warehouse, Logistics Operations Manager for their busy site in Coalville. 

The role of Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager would be to meet the OTIF requirements of the operation, servicing the needs of all customers, as well as delivering cost savings and providing support to the site.

 

Key accountabilities of the Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager

Developing a highly focused and efficient warehouse operation, including Goods in/Goods Out, 3rd party hauliers and internal movements
Challenging the ways of working and delivering through innovative cost savings
Monitoring, controlling and minimising waste
Ensuring best practise is developed and used, constantly seeking improvements to layout, efficiency and stock integrity
Management of the Stock Team and the control & management of stock
Reviewing staffing levels by function, rotating staff accordingly in line with volumes
Monitoring and managing team performance against KPI's and to meet Warehouse targets
Identifying and mentoring potential key players of the future. Creating strength in depth through the development of the teams
Liaising with customers and attending customer interface meetings
Managing weekly P&L

 

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager, Distribution Manager or Warehouse & Logistics Manager with operational skills, who understands either ecommerce, production, packing or value-added services.  The Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager should be seasoned in people management and coaching as well as working with clients and computerised stock management systems.
